Well done to the ‘Run for the Slum’ team of runners and supporters for a great effort this morning. 28 runners successfully ran 10k, cheered on by a great back up team of parents, friends and children.
Huge thanks for the sponsorship money that everyone has collected – don’t forget to tell people it is not to late to donate!
We’re already planning the next run and team curry night – details to follow!
Post your race times as comments if you are proud of them – we’ll post photos on the (new look, hopefully!!) website in a day or two.

In February 2010 I visited Jheelpur Slum in Dhaka, Bangladesh. What I saw there has changed my perspective on life.
I would like to share with you some words, pictures and tasters of Bengali curries from this extraordinary country. I would also like to tell you about Jheelpur Slum and what we are doing to try and help people there.
There will be no admittance fee but if you felt inspired to make a donation, we would be delighted.
A Taste of Bangladesh is happening at St Mary’s Church, Olveston on Saturday 21 May 2011.
Food served from 7.30pm, presentation starts 8pm.
